Bluebikes is a bike-share service operating across Metro Boston with over 5,000 bikes and nearly 600 docking stations in 13 municipalities. Users can rent classic bikes or ebikes via the Bluebikes app, a kiosk, or a key, with options ranging from single rides to annual memberships. The service is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and is designed for commuting and leisure travel around the metro area.
Users unlock a bike using the app, a kiosk, or a key, ride to their destination, and dock it at any available station when the lock-in light turns green.
