/ About /

Cockpit is an open-source, web-based graphical interface for Linux servers that allows administrators to manage system tasks through a browser. It supports network configuration, storage management, virtual machines, containers, user accounts, and more without requiring command-line expertise. It integrates with existing system APIs and tools, making it compatible with workflows that include the command line, Ansible, and other utilities.

/ How it works /

Cockpit runs as an on-demand web server (via systemd socket activation) on port 9090, exposing a graphical interface that directly uses the system's existing APIs and tools.
