Espanso
A Privacy-first, Cross-platform Text Expander

Espanso is an open-source, cross-platform text expander that automatically replaces typed keywords with predefined snippets, templates, or script outputs. It works system-wide across most applications on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and supports advanced features like shell commands, form-based workflows, and community packages. Configuration is file-based following a Unix-like philosophy, with a searchable snippet interface accessible via keyboard shortcut.
Espanso detects when a user types a defined keyword and instantly replaces it with the corresponding snippet, template, or script output in any application.
