mise-en-place
One tool to manage languages, env vars, and tasks per project, reproducibly.

mise-en-place is a CLI tool that manages developer environments by handling language versions, environment variables, and task automation in a single configuration file. It allows teams to define their entire project setup in a mise.toml file, ensuring reproducible environments across machines. It supports 900+ tools and can be installed with a single curl command.
Users add a mise.toml file to their project defining required tools, env vars, and tasks; mise detects the file on directory entry and activates the correct environment automatically.
