Piskel is a free, open-source browser-based tool for creating pixel art, animated sprites, and game tilesets. It supports real-time animation preview, export to GIF and PNG spritesheets, and also offers offline desktop applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux. A child-friendly version called Piskel for Kids is available for educational use.
