About

The Lens is a free, open-access platform for searching, analyzing, and reporting on global patents and scholarly literature. It offers a data-driven report builder called Lens Reports for creating shareable, real-time research outputs, as well as a REST API for programmatic access to its full corpus. Privacy and openness are central to its mission as a digital public good.

Problem

Accessing, analyzing, and presenting global patent and scholarly research is fragmented, costly, and often lacks openness or privacy protections.

For

Researchers, librarians, scientists, and policy analysts needing access to global patent and scholarly data

How it works

Users can search and analyze patents and scholarly works through a web interface or REST API, then compile findings into shareable, data-driven reports linked to live Lens data.
