Aave
Open Source Protocol for Non-Custodial Liquidity Markets

Aave is a decentralized, open-source lending and borrowing protocol that allows users to supply crypto assets to earn interest or borrow against overcollateralized positions. It operates through publicly auditable smart contracts with variable interest rates and is governed by AAVE token holders via on-chain proposals. The protocol also offers developer tools (Aave Kit) for building lending and yield products on top of its infrastructure.
Users supply crypto assets to smart contract-based liquidity pools to earn variable interest, while borrowers provide overcollateralized assets to access liquidity according to governance-approved parameters.
