balenaEtcher is a free, open-source desktop application for flashing OS images onto SD cards and USB drives across Linux, Windows, and macOS. It protects users from accidentally overwriting hard drives and verifies that every byte was written correctly. It also supports direct flashing of Raspberry Pi devices that use USB device boot mode.
Users select an OS image and a target drive; Etcher writes the image safely and verifies the data after flashing.
